Lipik, a town that experienced its brightest moments at the late 19th century, when it was a stylish destination for Austro-Hungarian trendsetters, is returning to the paths of old glory after the great tragedy that befell it in the Homeland War.

The first activity after arriving in Lipik is a sightseeing tour accompanied by an expert local guide. Getting to know the history of the town and its attractions will be a great start of the weekend.
After the sightseeing, visit the Lipik State Stud Farm, built by lord Isidor Jankovic back in 1843. Lipik State Stud Farm organizes various educational programs and workshops. With their expert guidance, it is possible to visit it for sightseeing, and the braver ones can try riding and petting Lipizzaners (an authentic horse variety) or enrol a riding school.
Take advantage by spending afternoon at the Lipik Spa and swim in the healing water or use other facilities offered by the spa.
Start Sunday with a rich breakfast and get enough energy for a cycling tour, pay a visit to the sacral heritage of Lipik by bike. Rent a bike in the centre of Lipik and start from the parish church of St. Francis of Assisi to the Chapel of the Holy Blood of Jesus in Dobrovac. From there, head towards one of the Lipik lakes - Raminac or Pjeskara. On the lake you will be greeted by an experienced fisherman who will teach you the local secrets of fishing and preparation of a tasty fish stew.
After delicious local meal, return to Lipik and visit the spa again, where after bathing in the healing water you will learn more about the healing properties of Lipik’s water, and if you wish, participate in one of the offered aqua therapies.
