Back in 1843, lord Isidor Jankovic founded a stable in Lipik with about twenty horses. Since then, this property has gone through a turbulent history, from its beginnings, through closure, then revitalization and the horrors of the Homeland War, which almost completely destroyed it… Fortunately, the State Stud Farm Lipik managed to recover, and today, as in the past, it makes a great contribution to preserving Lipizzaner horses in Croatia.
The State Stud Farm in Lipik currently owns about 70 Lipizzaner horses. The activities currently in progress are: horse breeding and selection, touristic programs, own production of horse food and training of horses for riding and carriage rides.
